Honor Life this Memorial Day Weekend

Memorial Day is upon us.  It is a day to pay tribute to those who have died in active military service.  It is a day to say ‘thank you’ to the brave men and women who have sacrificed their lives in order to allow us Americans to be free.  A right that we as Americans too often take for granted.  A right that but for our heroes’ sacrifice, would only be a dream.  A right for which we must stand.

Take time this weekend to not only honor our fallen friends, but to honor our own lives as well.  Life is fragile.  Each day we awake is a day that we should celebrate.  Another chance to spend time with family and with friends.  Another chance to taste the sugars of life’s subtle rewards.  Another chance to change the world.

Kiss your spouse.  Kiss your kids.  Let the sun fill you with energy that sets your soul on fire.  Go for a run.  Workout.  Play an instrument.  Hit the pool, lake or beach.  Be present.  Be grateful.  Be.

Ep. 22 Recap – Paul Franklin

Paul Franklin is the principal at Franklin Capital Strategies, a financial services firm that specializes in estate planning and insurance for small business owners and entrepreneurs; athletes and celebrities.  His “no quit” mentality coupled with his detailed level of attention to each and every client makes Paul a popular choice when it comes to future wealth generation.  I was greatly inspired by Paul’s attitude as he discussed the challenges of being told, “no.”  Rather than looking at “no” as a closed door, he looks at “no” as simply “no, not right now.”  And he uses that type of rejection to fuel his fire and improve wherever possible.  Or as Paul had put it:

I run to failure.

It is that type of mentality that separates the winners from the losers.

Ep. 21 Recap – Tim DePasquale

Tim DePasquale is a music producer and talent manager who has toured with Machine Gun Kelly and now lives at Mike Busey’s world-famous Sausage Castle in Orlando, Florida.  His passion for music can be clearly felt throughout our conversation and his love and respect for MGK and Busey is clearly evident.  With years of production experience under his belt, Tim now seeks to make a splash in the music industry as he teased the fact that he has several pop records coming out within the next year that have potential to be big.  Considering he operates most of his production activity currently from the “Castle” headquarters, I have no doubt we will be hearing more of Tim in the years to come.

Ep. 18 Recap – Will Hardy

Will Hardy is one of Cleveland’s top up-and-coming personal fitness trainers. What inspired me was his dedication to his six-days-a-week training program! This is a man who eats, breathes and sleeps fitness. He makes sure to be at the gym every morning by 5 or 6 AM. Meaning he is finishing his workout as us mere mortals are beginning to get out of bed…  Now that’s dedication!

I look forward to seeing Will’s continued climb within the fitness industry not only here in Cleveland but on a regional and hopefully national level down the road.
